Litigation Paralegal

Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 + Benefits Location: Downtown San Diego, CA Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site Start Date: Immediate Need A respected downtown San Diego law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support its growing litigation practice. The firm represents employers and businesses in a variety of matters, including employment law, commercial litigation, and transactional work. This role is ideal for a seasoned legal professional who is comfortable handling both substantive paralegal responsibilities and legal assistant functions in a fast-paced, defense-side environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, file, and serve pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents Manage state and federal court filings, including electronic filing through OneLegal and other court filing platforms Maintain attorney calendars, monitor deadlines, and coordinate scheduling Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal documents using Microsoft Word Assist attorneys with case management throughout all phases of litigation Organize case files, discovery materials, and litigation documents Provide backup legal assistant and administrative support as needed Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of litigation experience Strong e-filing experience in California state and federal courts Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word Experience preparing pleadings, discovery, and litigation calendaring Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Preferred Paralegal Certificate Experience performing both paralegal and legal assistant duties Employment law and/or defense-side litigation experience All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
