MIG Welder / Fabricator

Location: Novi, MI

Type: Full-Time, Day Shift

Compensation: Up to $30/hour, based on experience

About the Opportunity

We are hiring a MIG Welder / Fabricator for a hands-on manufacturing environment in Novi, MI. This role will focus on setting up fixtures and welding steel table assemblies.

The right person should be comfortable taking ownership of their work from setup through completion. This is not just a production welding position — you will need to understand how to fixture and position components correctly, complete the setup, and perform quality MIG welds with limited supervision.

The immediate project is expected to provide approximately four weeks of dedicated welding work, with the intention of keeping the right person employed full-time on additional projects afterward. Overtime may also be available depending on workload.

What You’ll Do

• Perform MIG welding on steel components and table assemblies
• Set up and work from fixturing tables
• Position, align, clamp, and fixture components before welding
• Complete welding setups independently
• Maintain proper fit-up and alignment throughout the welding process
• Inspect completed work for weld quality and accuracy
• Make adjustments to fixtures and setups as needed
• Maintain an organized and safe work area
• Support additional fabrication and shop projects as needed

What You Bring

• 2+ years MIG welding experience
• Experience setting up and working with welding fixtures
• Ability to independently complete welding setups
• Experience working with steel components
• Strong understanding of fit-up, alignment, and positioning
• Ability to produce consistent, quality welds
• Dependable and comfortable working with limited supervision
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
