Role Overview:

We are seeking a Backend Developer (Web3) with extensive experience in building high-performance, scalable, and decentralized applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Golang and Python, a deep understanding of Web3 technologies, and a proven track record of optimizing backend systems. This role requires proficiency in designing robust system architectures, optimizing smart contract interactions, and deploying scalable infrastructure using AWS cloud services.

As a key member of the team, you will work on Web3 backend services, blockchain integrations, and DeFi applications, contributing to the development of next-generation decentralized financial products. The ideal candidate will also possess Mandarin language proficiency, as this role involves close collaboration with teams and stakeholders in Mandarin-speaking regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Backend Architecture & Development

• Design and implement high-availability, high-performance, and scalable Web3 backend services.
• Optimize Golang and Python code for performance, maintainability, and security.
• Develop and maintain backend microservices for processing on-chain transactions and managing blockchain data interactions.
• Ensure system reliability by integrating load balancing, database sharding, and caching solutions (Redis, Memcached).

Blockchain & Smart Contract Integration

• Build and optimize services that interact with EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum, Polygon, BSC) and non-EVM chains (Solana, Aptos).
• Work closely with smart contract engineers to develop robust and secure DeFi and NFT applications.
• Conduct security audits to prevent common attack vectors such as reentrancy, flash loans, and MEV exploits.

Infrastructure & Cloud Deployment

• Deploy scalable and fault-tolerant applications using AWS services (ECS, Lambda, Fargate).
• Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes).
• Optimize cloud storage and database solutions (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, S3) to ensure high availability and performance.

Security & System Optimization

• Implement DDoS protection, access control policies, and key management solutions (AWS KMS).
• Ensure compliance with best security practices for blockchain applications.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with global teams to develop and implement best practices in Web3 backend development.
• Create clear and well-structured API documentation and technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, including designing and maintaining large-scale applications.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and Python, with a deep understanding of code optimization and system architecture.
• Hands-on experience in Web3 development—must be familiar with blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and DeFi ecosystems.
• Experience working with EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum, Polygon, BSC) and non-EVM chains (Solana, Aptos).
• Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with database management and optimization (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis).
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in Mandarin is required for effective communication with internal teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Contributions to open-source Web3 projects (GitHub, DAO involvement).
• Experience with Layer 2 scaling solutions (ZK-Rollups, Optimistic Rollups, cross-chain bridges).
• Background in MEV (Maximal Extractable Value) and smart contract security auditing.
• Deep knowledge of DeFi, NFT, and DAO ecosystems with experience designing tokenomics models.
• Experience handling high-throughput blockchain transaction matching and on-chain data analysis.
