Hematology Oncology Physician | Farmington, CT (Hartford metro)

Schedule

Inpatient coverage: Friday 5:00 PM through Friday 5:00 PM, with in house coverage 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and call 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM

Outpatient coverage may also be available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Coverage need: 1 to 2 or more weeks per month

Position Overview

Provide hematology oncology coverage for inpatient consults, rounding, and admissions, with the potential for outpatient clinic coverage as needed.

Clinical Scope

• Inpatient consults, rounding, and admissions
• Average around 12 patients per day with 1 to 2 admissions
• Benign and malignant hematology and oncology
• Procedures: Bone marrow biopsy experience is highly preferred
• No pediatric coverage
• Support staff available including APP support
• EMR: Epic

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certified in hematology oncology
• Active Connecticut license or IMLC letter of qualification as accepted by the client
• DEA required
• State controlled substance registration may be required in addition to DEA based on state and role requirements
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
