Job Summary MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED – Emergency Department for a travel nursing assignment in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Position Details Specialty: ED – Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Qualifications Active RN License Degree from an accredited nursing program BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions At least eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care emergency room setting Other requirements to be determined by the client facility Duties & Responsibilities Emergency Room registered nurses provide care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life‑threatening conditions. Responsible for assessing, intervening, and stabilizing a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action. Knowledgeable about general as well as specific health issues that may require urgent treatment and care. Properly understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need. Capable of making quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions.
