Shipping CoordinatorPrimary accountabilities:Assists Logistics Manager with daily management of the product shipment cycle from carrier scheduling through loading and shipment.A good reputation and relationship with carriersPrompt loadingAccurate paperwork and billingDevelopment of the most cost effective optionsFront line management of Shipping and Logistics hourly personnelOrganization and maintenance of the finished goods warehouse.A high degree of inventory accuracy to include frequent cycle countsMinimal handling damage and follow-up on any issuesEfficient loading capability and tracking of load timesLeadership of the shipping teamAccident free work environmentIncreasing levels of operator capability through trainingMost efficient assignment of resourcesAchieve a high level of customer satisfactionAssist Logistics Manager/Customer Service Representative/PlannerCustomer interfaceOrder entryPaper Machine block scheduling maintenanceQuality Complaints follow-up with improvement plansSkills/ Experience required:Mastery of the basic elements of warehouse operationsMastery of the manufacturing execution systemKnowledge of customers and customer requirementsKnowledge of shipping documentation requirements and the billing processExperience with managing carriersExperience with machine scheduling and production planningDemonstrate teamwork skillsJob Requirements:To perform at a proficient level, a candidate would be expected to have:High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business Administration or related field preferred2 – 4 years of logistics/traffic experience preferredOral and written communication skillsPresentation skillsStrong analytical and negotiation skillsAbility to take initiativeSupervisory/leadership and strategic planning skillsCustomer focusedAttention to detail
