Associate Scientist II, Biologics Drug Product Development

Associate Scientist II supporting biologics drug product formulation, stability, and process development at AbbVie's North Chicago site. The role involves independent execution of laboratory studies, experimental planning, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to advance protein, peptide, and genetic medicine candidates.

Responsibilities

• Execute and document laboratory studies for biologics drug product formulation, stability, and process development
• Own assigned studies from experimental planning through data analysis, documentation, and results communication
• Identify and implement improvements to laboratory methods, workflows, and experimental efficiency
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and prepare data summaries, technical presentations, and reports
• Collaborate with formulation, analytical, process, and cross-functional scientists to meet project timelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education with 3+ years experience, or Master's degree
• Theoretical and practical knowledge in biologics formulation and process development
• Experience with drug product stability studies and analytical characterization
• Ability to independently plan, execute, and document laboratory experiments
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and project communication skills
