Department Website: Job Description And Duties Do you want to be a leader in protecting California energy consumers? Are you interested in the natural gas markets? Under general direction of the Program and Project Supervisor, the person who fills this position will work on issues related to Core Transport Agents (CTAs) who are non-utility natural gas providers who sell the fuel to customers while the utility delivers it to them. While the CPUC does not regulate CTA rates, it provides oversight and consumer protection. Duties include registering CTAs, drafting an annual report, and supporting proceedings that impact CTA's. The analyst could also be assigned to renewable gas policy proceedings.
