About the Position

Job Title: RN Neuro PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience preferred License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Description: POSITION: RN Neuro PCU Shift hours: 3x12, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM. Charting: Epic experience required. Weekend Requirement: May be every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a six-week scheduling block. Call off Policy: The facility is allowed to call off one shift every two weeks. Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. First-Time Travelers Accepted: Yes. Local Candidates Accepted: Yes, refer to the submittal instructions for radius rule criteria. Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation and management. IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care. Medication administration and cardiac drips (no titration). Respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management. Rapid response and isolation precautions. UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING: Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5. Please confirm traveler is comfortable with a 1:5 ratio. Patient Population: Adult patients with neurological conditions. Care includes neuro-surgical recovery, stroke management, and neuro-specific diagnoses. Floating: Traveler will be required to float to units within their clinical skill set. HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS: The facility is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital and the region's only Level I Trauma Center. It is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence and features advanced specialty care. The hospital is certified as an advanced thrombectomy-capable stroke center providing comprehensive stroke care. Submittal Details: Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, with exceptions for winter holidays. Compliance documents are due prior to the start of the assignment. Candidates who reside within 100 miles of the facility are considered local. Local candidates are not accepted.
