Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Account Manager role based in Houston, TX. The Account Manager will manage day-to-day relationships with assigned customers, serving as the primary point of contact for service needs, inquiries, and issue resolution. Responsibilities include coordinating shipments and projects, monitoring delivery performance, and ensuring that timelines and service commitments are met. The role involves preparing and reviewing quotes, tracking orders, and maintaining accurate account records and reports. The Account Manager will collaborate with operations, dispatch, and leadership teams to anticipate customer needs, address service challenges, and identify opportunities for growth. This position also requires regular communication with customers to provide updates, gather feedback, and strengthen long-term partnerships. Qualifications Proven experience in account management, customer success, or client services, ideally in logistics, transportation, or a related operations-driven industry. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and handle escalations professionally. Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including multitasking, prioritizing competing deadlines, and maintaining accurate documentation. Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, monitor performance metrics, and proactively address service issues or process gaps. Proficiency with common office and CRM software (e.g., MS Office, Excel, customer management tools) and comfort learning new systems. Ability to work effectively on-site in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and collaborate across departments. High level of reliability and accountability, with a focus on on-time delivery, follow-through, and maintaining service quality. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Experience working with complex schedules, tight deadlines, or last-minute requests is highly beneficial.
