Facilities Manager

The Facility Manager will oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced trade shop within a warehouse environment. This includes managing the maintenance, repair, cleaning, and preparation of rental inventory such as tents, tables, chairs, staging, linens, décor, and event equipment. The role ensures all items are event-ready, safe, and meet company quality standards. The candidate must be bilingual in Spanish (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with team members and vendors. Key Requirements Managing a team of 27 employees Strong experience in upholstery, carpentry, and painting Hands‑on trade or technical repair background preferred Responsible for repairing all rental equipment Daily interaction with vendors and external partners Strong leadership presence – personality is key for this role Key Responsibilities Oversee daily trade shop operations including cleaning, repairing, staging, and prepping rental equipment Manage inventory control and tracking of all rental assets Ensure all equipment meets strict quality and safety standards prior to deployment Supervise, train, and schedule trade shop staff (27 employees) Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and event teams to ensure timely order fulfillment Implement preventative maintenance programs across all rental inventory Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA‑compliant work environment Manage vendor relationships related to repairs and equipment servicing Support event logistics, including setup and breakdown as needed Track inventory movement, repairs, and quality control documentation Continuously improve shop processes to increase efficiency and turnaround time Qualifications 3–7+ years in operations, warehouse management, event production, or rental industry preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on repair experience Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills Ability to lift, move, and stage heavy event equipment Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems a plus Bilingual Spanish required (verbal and written) #J-18808-Ljbffr
