About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Asset Management to spearhead the asset management strategy for a significant industrial portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and execution of portfolio business plans, leasing strategies, budgeting, and capital planning. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including acquisitions, construction, leasing brokers, and executive leadership, to ensure the financial performance of the portfolio and the implementation of long-term value creation initiatives. The Vice President will also oversee third-party property management, support underwriting and due diligence for new investments, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance portfolio performance and asset value. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8-10 years' of experience in institutional industrial real estate asset management and/or leasing, with a proven track record in developing and executing leasing strategies for institutional-quality industrial portfolios. Strong relationships within the regional industrial brokerage community and a deep knowledge of the local industrial markets are essential. The role requires strong financial analysis, underwriting, budgeting, and business planning skills, and experience with institutional owners, investment managers, REITs, or developers is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, be adept at operating independently in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. A willingness to travel throughout the region is also necessary.
