Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our hospital, you will thrive in a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, with standard working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting licensed physical therapists with the delivery of treatment programs for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or conditions.
• Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities, ensuring proper form and technique to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Monitoring patient progress, documenting improvements, and updating therapists to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Preparing treatment areas and equipment before sessions and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the therapy space.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment protocols, exercises, and injury prevention strategies that promote long-term health.
• Providing exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Adhering to productivity standards and collaborating with team members to achieve performance-based incentives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Emerald Valley PT caters primarily to patients in need of orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-operative care, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your role will involve working with a diverse population, including elderly patients who require assistance in rehabilitating from surgeries such as hip or knee replacements, as well as younger athletes recovering from sports-related injuries. Understanding the varying needs and recovery goals of this wide-ranging clientele will be essential in providing tailored support and ensuring optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a physical therapy assistant program.
• Active Florida State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage documentation effectively.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome new graduates, candidates with at least two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting are preferred. Experience dealing with patients requiring vestibular, balance, neurological care, or fall-risk interventions will be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits
