What You'll Do As the BCG Vantage Global Senior Director – AI Cost Advantage, you will lead the BCG Vantage team across functional practice areas supporting the Cost topic by developing and driving the strategy and execution of the portfolio of knowledge assets, services, and professionals. Alongside setting the direction for the BCG Vantage Cost agenda, you will also be responsible and accountable for the BCG Vantage Cost topic and its performance, including economics (case billability, P&L), customer satisfaction, and team satisfaction KPIs. The role will also be closely coordinating with Project Helix and supporting the integration of AI into our offers. This role sits at the intersection of BCG’s global Cost topic, spanning the Cost topics and functional (e.g., People & Organization; Operations; Technology & Digital Advantage) and industry domains (e.g., Consumer, Healthcare) that make up BCG’s holistic cost offer. You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders both within Cost and across the Practice Areas that rely on cost expertise, ensuring alignment and consistent quality of delivery across the firm. You will bring an end-to-end understanding of cost transformations, while also being able to draw on deeper expertise in a specific functional area when needed. You will lead coordination across Practice Areas on Cost, ensuring knowledge, tools (including AI agents), and best practices are shared and applied consistently. As a billable role, you will also directly support the deployment of tools and cases, working hands-on with case teams. You will be the global leader of the team; inspiring and motivating the entire team, as well as acting as a line manage and mentor for a team of senior BCG Vantage members who collectively manage the topic’s BCG Vantage business team. You also will be responsible for aligning the BCG Vantage Cost topic and strategy with our clients’ needs and encourage the innovation of new and expanded BCG Vantage offerings. In doing this, you will team with the senior leadership of the AI Cost Advantage topic, including topic/sector and regional leaders. You will be a member of the Vantage Leadership Team which includes leaders from all our Practices and Geos. In addition, you will contribute on a regular basis to global, cross- Practice Area initiatives and programs. YOU'RE GOOD AT Strategizing with a pioneering, forward-thinking and entrepreneurial approach Quickly grasping and engaging on relevant content to identify hot topics and major trends Balancing authority with gravitas and managing senior stakeholders – both within Cost and across Practice Areas – as well as a large team Understanding the bigger picture with an end-to-end vision in an intellectually rigorous environment Bringing a holistic, end-to-end view of cost take-out efforts, with the ability to go deep in a specific functional domain (e.g., People/Org, Operations, IT/Tech) when needed Leading change management and orchestration of cost portfolio across a complex set of stakeholders Foundational AI knowledge to design and deploy agents, skills and workflows to accelerate impact and delivery Leading and developing a global business and team in a complex, matrixed organization Leading from the front with a strong business focus Being results-oriented with a proven track record of implementation and project management success Showcasing a positive, constructive, team player mentality What You'll Bring 15+ years of industry experience preferred, and/or 8+ years minimum consulting experience in a reputable organization in a relevant/related sector or topic Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated academic achievement required; Advanced Degree Preferred Demonstrated experience in end-to-end cost transformation efforts, with a holistic view across cost levers and deeper expertise in at least one functional area (e.g., People/Org, Operations, IT/Tech) Change management experience preferred Business, line & project management experience Ideally experience in accountability for business metrics in professional services including a P&L International experience strongly preferred Who You'll Work With As a BCG Vantage Global Senior Director – AI Cost Advantage, you will work closely with the Global Cost Leader and be an integral part of the Topic Leadership Team. You will also work with the Global Knowledge Leader and be part of the Global BCG Vantage Leadership Team, as well as senior stakeholders across Practice Areas who rely on Cost expertise. Working in collaboration with other Vantage Global leaders of the related Functional and Industry practices. Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below. The base salary range for this role in Chicago, Boston and Washington DC is $185k - $216k. This is an estimated range, however, specific base salaries within the range depend on various factors such as experience and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness. In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a bonus of up to 45% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 10%. Senior Directors are also eligible for a Firm Performance Bonus.
