Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist the surgical team across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, neurosurgery/spine, robotics, urology, gynecology, ENT, and plastics.
• Maintain sterile technique, prepare the OR, drape patients, and pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
• Maintain instrumentation counts and manage specimen handling according to policy.
• Assist with patient positioning, room setup and turnover, and contribute to equipment readiness, including robotics systems when applicable.
• Collaborate with circulating nurses and surgeons to support safe, efficient operative care and patient safety.

Requirements

• Active Colorado CST license (DORA) required
• Certification in Surgical Technology from NBSTSA or AST or NCCT
• Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) and influenza vaccination (no exemptions)
• Experience with orthopedic/total joints, neuro/spine, robotics, urology, gynecology, ENT, and plastics procedures
• Travel residency requirement: at least 75 miles away from the assignment facility
