Warehouse Manager - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the shipping department in a safe, sanitary work environment that complies with company policies, OSHA, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate the load‑out schedule with in‑house distribution and outside contractors to ensure timely and accurate load‑out and receiving of all products. Manage expenses and control costs, including cooler dump, labor, and overhead, using continuous improvement techniques and Management Operating Structure (MOS). Monitor inventory and coding of all products in coolers, maintaining proper rotation and traceability. Ensure all transactions are recorded promptly and accurately, reflecting correct inventory positions for shipments, donations, product loss, and damage. Maintain full compliance with quality assurance standards, focusing on good housekeeping and overall cleanliness of products and work areas. Meet or exceed Sales‑to‑Service metrics and drive productivity within the department. Act as a cross‑functional change agent, cooperating with all departments and supporting internal and external audits. Provide employee leadership, direct or through supervisors, covering selection, retention, development, disciplinary action, and performance management. When applicable, participate in collective bargaining negotiations, grievances, or other contract‑related activities. Train, instruct, and mentor employees in shipping and warehouse operations, implementing policies and enforcement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of manager‑level experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or supply‑chain workplace. Experience with workplace safety and workers’ compensation compliance (preferred). Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (especially from food or pharmaceutical industry). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and to lead through change. Strong multi‑tasking, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills. Team player and leader capable of working across multiple functions and disciplines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, computer‑based applications, and warehouse management systems. Experience with SAP is preferred. Position requires up to 10% travel (ground and/or air). Salary range: $90,000 – $108,000, plus a 15% bonus. Salary offers may be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
