Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health history, specifically focusing on past trauma.

• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and building resilience tailored to each client’s unique needs.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Leading individual and group therapy sessions to guide clients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and nurturing their healing journey.

• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to deliver integrated care for each patient.

• Offering crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients feel safe and supported.

• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and relevant community resources available.

• Maintaining compliant and confidential documentation per legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities that emphasize trauma-informed care and best practices.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee.
