System Analyst

Job Summary
Our client, a leading financial services provider, is seeking a System Analyst to join their team. This is a contract position focused on supporting enterprise infrastructure technical hygiene initiatives.



This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Document current-state infrastructure workflows, dependencies, and controls to eliminate bottlenecks and optimize operational governance
• Partner with engineering teams to coordinate patch management, vulnerability remediation, technology currency, and lifecycle management initiatives
• Lead workshops and working sessions with technical and non-technical stakeholders to build consensus on infrastructure standards
• Develop comprehensive process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational governance documentation
• Create executive-ready reporting dashboards, track risks and action items, and support regulatory, audit, and risk activities
• Improve execution consistency and accountability across multiple infrastructure domains to reduce technology risk

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years of experience in technology operations, systems administration, platform engineering, cloud operations, or a related technical discipline
• 2+ years of experience in process optimization, business analysis, or continuous improvement frameworks
• Strong conceptual understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Windows/Linux, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), networking, databases, storage, and monitoring tools
• Foundational knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks
• Experience developing workflow diagrams, creating process documentation, and performing root cause analysis using data-driven approaches
• Experience working within large, complex, and highly matrixed technology organizations

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
• Experience navigating technology governance, compliance, and change management within a regulated financial services environment
• Experience supporting vulnerability management, technology currency, or cloud transformation initiatives
• Hands-on familiarity with ServiceNow, Power BI, Visio, SharePoint, or Power Automate

Work Environment

• Location: Hopkins, MN or Irving, TX
• Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite expectations; core hours 8-5 Central)

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is up to a maximum bill rate of $43.00 and $62.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
