The OpportunityPAE is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer II to join our team in a hybrid office environment in Los Angeles. In this role, you will bridge the gap between foundational design and project leadership, taking ownership of mechanical system layouts for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection. We embrace innovation, transparency, sustainability, and lifelong curiosity.What You'll DoPerform Revit/AutoCAD system engineeringDesign and plan mechanical system design and layouts under the direction of a lead engineerThorough understanding of mechanical distribution, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Energy ModelingPrepare project deliverables with attention to detailUnderstand and able to read plans and specifications, develop the skills to edit/write specificationsDevelop the ability to understand other disciplinesApplication of building codes, industry standards and mechanical engineering design principalsPerform engineering calculations and equipment selection based on calculated load requirementsInteract with clients and other project team membersSupport the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costsContribute to site visits and prepare reportsImplement the project quality management plan (QMP)Perform other duties as assignedWhat You BringBachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline workRequires a minimum 1-2 years of Mechanical 1 or equivalent experienceEngineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferredKnowledge of mechanical systems and engineering concepts and the ability to effectively communicate to othersKnowledge of all project phasesProblem solving and analysisDelegation skillsOrganization and attention to detailMicrosoft Office SuiteRevit/AutoCADWhat We OfferHiring Base Salary Range: $85,800 to $104,800 annualThis position is eligible for time and a half overtime payThe base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered.
