We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team at Fat Cardinal Provisions. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Our custom cake orders require engagement with our customers as they share the details of what they need so that we can help realize their vision.

Responsibilities:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take and process orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter area with an understanding of NYC sanitation guidelines
- Answer phone calls and inquiries from customers
- Assist with packaging and beautifully presenting bakery goods
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers
- Collaborate with and be ready to assist the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Uphold food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with other tasks as needed

Requirements:

- Prior customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Food handler's permit preferred. We will assist you in obtaining this.

Pay is hourly starting at minimum rate with potential for growth.
