Our client is an established global consumer products company expanding its presence in the United States. As the U.S. business grows, the company is building the infrastructure and operating model needed to support increasing volume, customers, channels, and complexity.

About the Role

The Director of Operations & Logistics – U.S. will be responsible for building and leading the company's U.S. logistics and operational infrastructure. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who has experience creating scalable systems, managing external partners, and operating within a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Design and establish the end-to-end U.S. operating model across import, logistics, warehousing, distribution, and customer delivery.
• Own U.S. logistics execution, ensuring strong service levels, reliability, and cost discipline.
• Select, structure, and manage external partners including 3PLs, brokers, and carriers.
• Build scalable processes, governance, and SOPs to support continued growth.
• Anticipate future operational needs, including increased volume, new channels, and potential local co-packing.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory and food safety requirements, including FDA, FSMA, FSVP, and customs.
• Serve as the senior operational point of contact for audits, inspections, and operational escalations.
• Partner closely with global Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Procurement teams.
• Ensure alignment between global standards and U.S. execution.
• Represent U.S. operational requirements in broader company planning and decision-making.
• Help transition the U.S. business from an early-stage setup into a disciplined, repeatable operating model.
• Contribute to broader U.S. business planning and growth initiatives as a member of the leadership team.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain within food, CPG, or another regulated consumer-products environment.
• Proven experience building or scaling logistics and operating models, ideally within a high-growth or developing market.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import, logistics, warehousing, distribution, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing 3PLs, carriers, brokers, and other external logistics partners.
• Experience working within a global or matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of how logistics and operations support commercial growth and customer service.
• Comfortable working in a lean environment with evolving processes and priorities.
• Strategic thinker who is equally willing to remain hands-on in execution.
• Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Travel

Regular domestic travel will be required to support logistics partners, warehouses, customers, and other operational needs.
