Construction Operations SupervisorSupervise field Self-Perform Operations (SPO) construction of a single mega or multiple projects and serve as company-wide subject matter expert resource for construction operations. Apply construction operations expertise to provide technical and organizational planning and scheduling guidance to project operations in order to complete work on time, within budget, and to quality specified.Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:Supervise field Self-Perform Operations (SPO) construction of a single mega or multiple projects and serve as company-wide subject matter expert resource for construction operations.Partner with SPO senior project leadership to coordinate assignments of project staff.Provide guidance to SPO Superintendents to review staffing projections and Work In Place (WIP).Apply construction operations expertise to provide technical and organizational planning and scheduling guidance to SPO Superintendents throughout duration of project.Oversee and provide guidance on development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project activities.Review project schedules with SPO Superintendents to ensure critical activities and decisions remain on task and audit Required-On-Job (ROJ) dates.Attend production meetings to review production monitors assess gaps/risks, ensure establishment of recovery plans, and review progress of production goals. Evaluate project site risks and issues that affect budget, quality, or schedule and provide feedback to SPO project management team.Understand project Quality Control (QC) program and progress.Collaborate with senior EH&S leadership to implement and monitor success of project Safety Program.Contribute input to progression/succession plans for employees in consultation with local management and Human Resources (HR) teams.Contribute to development of SPO operational plans for pursuits, working in partnership with Business Development, Estimating, and Project Executives.Initiate and communicate continuous improvement concepts and practices to team in support of working efficiently, enhancing programs, coordinating and reducing waste. Apply active listening skills to remain open to suggestions and encourage recommendations from team.May supervise team of SPO Superintendents and participate in hiring process, onboard and deliver timely performance feedback, contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with development needs.Other duties, actions, and responsibilities as assigned.The salary range for this position is estimated to be 195,000.00 - 262,000.00 USD annualized.Turner Construction provides flexible benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, financial benefits such as a 401(k) plan, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, wellness benefits, a voluntary legal plan, identity theft, life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability coverage.In addition to our extensive benefits offerings, we provide paid vacation, wellness/sick time, holidays, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, employee referral bonuses, and end-of-year appreciation pay.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field of study, and minimum of 20 years of construction experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExtensive knowledge of Construction Operations including Self-Perform Operations (SPO)Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and project Safety programsThorough knowledge and understanding of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods, and materials, understanding of line and grade and survey methodsThorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principlesExtensive knowledge of building codes and complianceExtensive project management experience, able to manage high volumes of work and various size project(s) successfully to completion, on time, and within budgetEstablished and trusted relationships with owners, developers, and architectsAbility to produce and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project scheduleLeadership experience to make decisions, direct and build teamsDiplomatic approach to problem solving, able to use active listening to completely understand target audience needs, and develop targeted solutionsExcellent interpersonal skills, able to negotiate, influence, and engage stakeholders, teams, and othersApplies business maturity to synthesize complex concepts and informationLeverage critical business thinking to impact business planning, operations.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
