MEP Superintendent OpportunityDirect hire: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced MEP Superintendent to join a dynamic team. Location: Buffalo, NY. Per diem: Paid per working day at GSA rate for site city, travel to/from site at start/end of project also covered. Pay range: $145K - $166K. Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms. Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.Key responsibilities:Boots-to-the-ground leader that can execute large-scale, mission-critical construction projects, from groundbreaking through commissioning and handoffOwn daily site operations, coordinate trades, subcontractors, GC relationships and union representatives simultaneouslyEnforce safety, quality standards and drive schedules to aggressive delivery milestonesRead and interpret complex structural, mechanical and electrical drawings, specs, RFI's and resolve field issues quicklyManage onsite logistics, materials and equipment coordinationProgress reporting to internal stakeholders and external partners is vitalRequired skills/qualifications:Demonstrated experience leading on-site construction activities for large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projectsProven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while coordinating effectively with general contractors, owners, and union representativesStrong working knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and NEC requirementsAbility to read, interpret, and apply structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs)Experience managing project schedules, site logistics, material deliveries, equipment coordination, and day-to-day field operationsPreferred qualifications:Experience supporting hyperscale data center construction projects exceeding 50 MW and $100 million in valueKnowledge of liquid cooling systems and high-density power infrastructureExperience overseeing or coordinating commissioning activities for mission-critical facilitiesPhysical demands:Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods throughout the dayFrequent climbing of stairs, ladders, and access platforms in multi-story facilitiesAbility to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach while inspecting equipment and installationsMust be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and construction activitiesAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and fall protection equipment as requiredMust be capable of accessing confined spaces, elevated work areas, and equipment rooms when necessaryAbility to read plans, equipment labels, test instruments, and computer screensFrequent use of laptops, tablets, and mobile devices for documentation, reporting, and commissioning activitiesAbility to travel as required and work extended hours, weekends, or shift schedulesOnce you apply, please text "MEP" to View phone number on click.appcast.io for a faster reply.
