Payroll Analyst

Job Title

Job Duties

1. Perform payroll validation, audit checks, and issue resolution prior to payroll close, including off-cycle payroll activities.
2. Administer time and attendance processes by maintaining, reviewing, validating, and troubleshooting timekeeping data.
3. Partner with managers to drive timely and accurate timecard submission and approvals and resolve discrepancies related to hours, leave, and overtime.
4. Provide customer-focused support to employees and managers by resolving payroll and timekeeping inquiries and escalating complex issues as needed.
5. Support compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
6. Assist with payroll reconciliations, year-end processing, deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related programs.
7. Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives, documentation, training, and system enhancements across payroll and timekeeping platforms.
8. Process special pay and complex transactions, including gross-up calculations and adjustments for terminated employees.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business strongly desired. Years of previous experience can be substituted for parts of this requirement.
• Workday payroll experience a plus
• Advanced Excel skills required
