The patient population on our acute care floor can be diverse, encompassing individuals of different ages, genders, cultures, and medical conditions. Typically, patients on this floor require immediate medical attention due to severe illnesses, injuries, or surgical procedures. This may include patients with acute respiratory distress, cardiac emergencies, infections, traumatic injuries, or complications from chronic conditions. In general, the patient population in this department is characterized by a need for medical care and monitoring to stabilize and treat their conditions.

Patients who are in isolation may have a variety of conditions, including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal illnesses, or skin infections. It is expected to care for patients who are on isolation precautions. This means following specific protocols to prevent the spread of disease.
