Anesthesiologist – Generalist Physician (Full‑Time)

We are hiring at least four full‑time Anesthesiologists – Generalist Physicians for a top‑tier facility located in a southern California vacation destination, as part of the construction of six new operating rooms and the start‑up of a new OB‑L&D service.

The primary role will be anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient surgeries on the campus. Experience with obstetrics is a plus, but it is not required if the physician does not wish to participate in the OB service.

Key features of the position:

• Night float system for overnight call, totaling fewer than 10 nights per year.
• Generous common unit value for all cases and a differential for work past 5 pm, with additional compensation for downtime between cases.
• Minimal daily income guarantee for days when OR volume is low, and a guarantee for days when the physician earns less than the minimum daily unit guarantee.
• W‑2 employment, direct hiring by the hospital.
• State‑of‑the‑art equipment with regular updates.

Qualifications and preferences:

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Strong experience in general anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Recent obstetric experience is a plus, though not required.
• Excellent proficiency in spinal anesthesia is helpful; regional skills are desirable but not mandatory.

We are one of the busiest joint centres in California. The hospital has a dedicated acute pain service that performs pre‑operative nerve blocks, so regional techniques are supported as an option.
