Purpose The Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high‑quality, evidence‑based services. Staff use a culturally affirming, person‑centered approach to help individuals and families develop skills and resources. Programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities while celebrating strengths and resilience. Position Overview This position provides clinical services as part of an OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic/CCBHC location. Work includes evaluations, individual, group, and family therapy, case management, and crisis interventions. Must live within the United States and hold a valid NYS State license. Key Essential Functions Conduct comprehensive evaluations and intakes. Develop and revise treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Provide individual, group, family, and crisis interventions. Coordinate care with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies. Provide linkages to embedded care coordination, SUD services, nursing, psychiatric and medical services based on screenings. Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision. Maintain documentation per Jewish Board, regulatory, and funding standards. Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards per licensing board and Jewish Board policies. Attend required training in evidence‑based models (e.g., CBT/MI) for continuing education credit. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies Engage clients, exploring emotions, life events, and resources. Skill in clinical risk assessment and trauma‑informed, culturally sensitive interventions. Effective time management for timely client care and documentation. Understand group dynamics and lead group sessions effectively. Use clinical assessments to drive referrals. Maintain an active and steady caseload. Educational / Training Required Master’s degree in counseling, creative arts, or social work from an accredited program and a New York State License in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT), or Social Work (LMSW/LCSW). Experience / Language Preference Minimum one year of relevant clinical experience. Experience treating children or adolescents is preferred. Fluency in a second language is preferred. Computer Skills Required Experience documenting in electronic health records and using Microsoft Office. Experience with tele‑mental health platforms is a plus. Visual and Manual Dexterity The candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs. Work Environment / Physical Effort Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote (Fully Remote also available). Schedule centrally managed.
