Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients in their homes or through secure online platforms, ensuring a safe and comfortable space for therapy.

• Implement strategies for anger management, coping methods, and social skills development, targeting high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions and aggression.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team to develop comprehensive treatment plans that effectively support the emotional and psychological needs of each child.

• Empower both adolescents and their caregivers by enhancing their decision-making skills, equipping them with tools to manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submission to meet regulatory and program standards.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss cases, provide recommendations, and coordinate ongoing client support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client base consists of children aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• A valid and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory for this role.

• Availability for 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with flexibility for weekend availability as needed.

• Proficiency in either Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable, as it allows for effective communication with our bilingual clientele.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential for traveling to client locations.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required for all applicants.
