Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantWe are looking for a dependable and detail-focused Staff Accountant to join our team in Corona. This role will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and closing activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key responsibilities include:Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial recordsMonitor cash activity and analyze fluctuations on a daily and monthly basisMaintain and update financial data related to assets, liabilities, and tax accountsSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accrualsCoordinate and assist with periodic physical inventory countsReconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepanciesAssist with budgeting and forecasting processesPrepare and submit sales and use tax filingsRecord payroll-related journal entries and reconcile associated accountsProvide support during audits and assist with financial reporting as neededCreate and maintain spreadsheets to track financial data and support analysisCross-train in payroll functions and provide backup support when neededAssist with additional accounting projects as assignedQualifications:Minimum of 2 years of accounting experienceStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasksHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and OutlookExperience with accounting systems is a plus
