Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours/week; Friday, Saturday, Sunday; holiday rotation; no call; float required across campuses Experience: - 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting - Patient care experience in general, gynecological, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT License: - Iowa State License Certifications: - BLS Must-Have: - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel contract in the past 24 months - Heparin experience - EPIC EMR/electronic medical record experience - Recent/current Level II trauma experience Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Medical Surgical nursing. This role involves providing care for patients in a diverse range of medical conditions. The Registered Nurse will be required to float across multiple campuses. The nurse will work within a team to ensure high-quality patient care and safety. Patient ratios are maintained to ensure personalized attention, 1:4-6 on days and 1:5-6 on nights. Candidates should possess a strong foundation in the required patient care experiences. Heparin management and experience with the EPIC EMR system are essential for this position. Recent trauma experience will be viewed favorably. The successful candidate will be dedicated to fostering a compassionate and effective care environment.
