CN Assistant Manager, East Lincoln Middle School Lincoln County Schools, ELM (532) – Iron Station, North Carolina Job Details Job ID: 5713617 Application Deadline: Open until filled Posted: May 14, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Aug 6, 2026 Reports To: Child Nutrition Manager Position Type: Full-Time Salary: Grade CN 54N ($16.87 - $20.85 per hour), plus local supplement, benefit eligible Qualifications & Requirements High School diploma or GED required Must pass drug test, background check, and TB test before starting employment ServSafe certification required within six months of hire date Food service experience required Must be able to tolerate bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pulling, pushing, and some repetitive motion Must be able to perform heavy work, including lifting objects with more than 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly Must tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures Knowledge & Abilities Working knowledge of food preparation and serving practices Working knowledge of safety and sanitation standards Skill in use of food preparation equipment Ability to compute necessary conversions of recipe quantities and prepare food timely Ability to plan sequence of steps in food preparation Ability to read and understand recipes and equipment directions Duties Read recipes and directions for number of meals to be served Calculate amount of ingredients for number of portions to be served Measure and mix ingredients Compute time to be used in preparing and finishing products on time Portion product into prescribed serving size Arrange food and supplies to retain sanitation and quality Notify manager of equipment repairs needed Record material and supplies needed Perform other duties as assigned by the CN Manager EEO Statement Lincoln County Schools is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of age, handicap, national origin, race, religion or sex.
