Intensive Crisis Stabilization – Master's Level Social Worker

Muskegon County HealthWest is seeking a Master's Level Licensed Social Worker for an Intensive Crisis Stabilization role. This position plays a critical role in supporting individuals and families facing behavioral health crises by delivering direct intervention, assessments, and care coordination.

The Social Worker will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring clients receive appropriate support, advocacy, and access to community resources.

Note: This is a temp-to-perm opportunity —candidates must be open to long-term employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized care and stabilization plans
• Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support services
• Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers
• Advocate for client needs and facilitate access to resources
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program (required)
• Active Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) license (state-specific)
• Minimum of 1 year relevant social work experience (preferred)
• Ability to work effectively in crisis situations
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB screening and health clearance (as required)
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation

Local Candidates:

• Pay Rate: $45/hr

Travel Candidates (Must reside 50+ miles away from the facility):

• Pay Rate: $22/hr
• Weekly Stipends:
• Housing: $750
• Meals: $450
• Estimated Weekly Package: $2,080

Submission Requirements

• Must be willing to convert to permanent employment
• Transcripts required (HealthWest verification process)
• Completion of credentialing and paneling application
• Background check authorization form required prior to start
