Dental Receptionist PositionOur dental office is looking for an experienced energetic, mature, compassionate dental receptionist. We treat our patients with the utmost respect while instilling a calming atmosphere, bringing smiles to all who enter our doors. Your warm smile will welcome patients as the first step in for treatment prior to seeing the dentist. The position is Monday thru Friday, with some Saturday coverage needed also. We look forward to meeting you! Applicants should have dental office experience, be comfortable with computers and have a pleasant phone demeanor. Familiarity with all insurances, including HMO, a plus.Dental Receptionist ResponsibilitiesWelcome customers in the dental officeSchedule appointmentsMaintain accurate patient records and assist with payment proceduresSterilize instruments according to regulationsDental Receptionist Requirements2 years experience as dental receptionistReceives, records and responds to inbound telephone callsWelcomes and registers new patients upon their arrival, clearing any questions, problems or collection issues before handing patient off to clinical staffNotifies doctor and clinical staff of the patient's arrivalManages appointment schedule according to doctor's specificationsFollows up on lab cases that are dueAccurately verify and maintain current insurance benefit informationUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsGood computer skillsExcellent communication and people skillsAttention to detailWell-organized and reliableHigh school diplomaAdditional certification or training is an asset
