Associate Product Success Technician

Associate Product Success Technician Location: San Diego, CA. Reports To: Manager of Product Success. Position Summary: We are looking for an Associate Product Success Technician to support different products throughout various stages of development and production. The candidate will resolve and document product issues and work independently to meet product milestones. Responsibilities Shipping and receiving equipment Maintain and organize lab inventory Upgrade and test products Assist with the development of installation procedures Provide hands‑on installation support at customer sites Work with customers to identify, resolve and document product issues Assist with development of internal procedures and processes Domestic travel as required for product support issues (≤20%) Work unusual hours when collaborating with the India team; flexible schedule, early morning (7:00 a.m.) or nightly (8:00 p.m.) meetings may be required General assistance to the team as needed Perform product installations and deinstallations for testing Run scripts to push new software onto devices Requirements 60–80% time in office (5 days a week) General electro‑mechanical assembly skills Soldering skills Proficiency with hand and power tools Basic troubleshooting skills Understanding of automotive 12 VDC power systems Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Customer service skills and ability to interact with customers Manage lab inventory (shipping & receiving) Capable of lifting up to 50 LBS Travel up to 20% Unusual hours as needed Class 6 vehicle driving ability (straight/box trucks) – plus Follow test procedures and record results Read schematics – plus Familiar with test equipment (volt/ohm meter, multimeter, oscilloscope) Self‑motivated, able to work independently to meet product milestones Experience with Linux OS – plus (terminal command line, standard Linux command structures) Product testing and development experience – plus Creating/editing SOPs and modifying PDF documents – plus Willingness to work on test vehicles at customer sites for product development Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with other groups Basic scripting/programming (Python and Bash) – plus 3D printer/CAD familiarity – plus 2+ years in a professional product development environment – plus Compensation San Diego Pay Range: $56,000 USD – $75,600 USD.
