Job Summary

Staff Force Personnel Services is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator for a fast-paced logistics operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating deliveries, communicating with drivers and customers, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring daily operations run efficiently. This position is perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule deliveries, routes, and appointments.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal departments.
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively resolve delays or service issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service while handling escalated situations professionally.
• Maintain accurate records through data entry and reporting systems.
• Track deliveries using transportation management and GPS software.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure on-time service and customer satisfaction.
• Prioritize multiple tasks while adapting to changing business needs.
• Identify potential issues early and communicate updates to all stakeholders.
• Perform administrative duties and maintain organized documentation.
• Work independently while recognizing when issues require escalation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in dispatching, transportation, logistics, customer service, or administrative support.
• Experience in high-volume, fast-paced work environments.
• Strong scheduling, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in any of the following industries is a plus:

• Transportation / Trucking
• Final Mile Delivery
• Distribution & Warehousing
• Retail Logistics
• LTL or Parcel Operations
• Appliance or Furniture Delivery
• Construction Materials
• Courier Services
• Field Service Operations

Software Experience

Experience with the following systems is preferred:

• Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
• Google Sheets
• Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
• Fleet Management Software (Fleetio or similar)
• Salesforce or other CRM platforms
• GPS / Route Optimization Software
• Electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD)
• Data entry and reporting systems
