Project Executive - Design/Build ConstructionThe Project Executive oversees all critical aspects of the design-build process across multiple projects for a construction firm specializing in complex industrial and cold storage developments. This role leads operational execution, pre-construction, and client-facing efforts while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational ExecutionManage full project lifecycle, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, change management, and P&L accountabilityDevelop and maintain detailed project schedulesOversee contract development and execution (prime contracts, subcontracts, scopes, insurance, bonds)Build, lead, and mentor high-performing project teams, including Project Managers and support staffDirect trade partner coordination and maintain strong relationshipsMonitor project performance across cost, schedule, safety, quality, and client satisfactionEnsure adherence to all safety regulations and company standardsUtilize construction software tools (Excel, ERP systems, scheduling, estimating, BIM)Pre-ConstructionLead pre-construction efforts from client handoff through project kickoffCoordinate design and estimating teams, establishing timelines and milestonesGuide design development and ensure alignment with project goalsValidate estimates using subcontractor input, historical data, and internal takeoffsMaintain regular communication with stakeholders from plant-level to executive leadershipSales & Client EngagementRepresent the company's capabilities in delivery methods, technical expertise, and project executionSupport business development through proposals, presentations, and RFP responsesParticipate in client meetings and industry events to build relationships and generate opportunitiesQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years in construction5+ years of full P&L responsibility across multiple projects5+ years managing design-build or hard bid construction projectsStrong background in both pre-construction and construction managementExperience with multiple contract types (lump sum, GMP, cost-plus, fee-based)Proven ability to improve project profitability and deliver aggressive schedulesDeep understanding of engineering, design, and construction cost structuresExperience with industrial and/or cold storage construction projects preferredCore TraitsConfident, ethical, and highly organizedStrong communicator with attention to detailResponsive, proactive, and solutions-orientedEnergetic with a collaborative mindset and sense of humorCommitted to team development and work-life balanceBenefitsSalary: $185k-$210kAllowancesFull Health, Vision, and DentalTravel paid401k match
