Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.What We Need:The Sr PMO Data Analyst is a high performing contributor and serves as a trusted advisor to IT system owners and application teams, ensuring that financial data within SOX-scoped systems is properly identified, risk-assessed, mapped, and monitored across IT General Controls (ITGCs) and business processes. This role will be responsible for providing analytical support to the Sox PMO, contributing to the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of financial data within Sox scoped systems and IT projects.What You’ll Do:Financial Data Identification & ScopingPartner with IT and business stakeholders to: Identify financially relevant data elements in each SOX-scoped systemValidate alignment to financial reporting assertions (completeness, accuracy, validity)Ensure systems clearly define: In-scope vs out-of-scope financial dataData criticality tiers (e.g., key report drivers, transactional data)Data Mapping & Lineage Lead creation and validation of end-to-end data lineage:Source systems Interfaces Transformations Financial reportsEnsure traceability supports: Audit walkthroughsControl reliance (ITACs / automated controls)Maintain artifacts such as: Data flow diagramsSystem-to-report mappingsInterface and transformation logic documentationFinancial Data Risk AssessmentPerform risk assessments on financial data flows across IT systems: Data transformation risksInterface failures or manual intervention risksUnauthorized access or change risksMap risks to: SOX control objectives (ITGC + ITAC)COSO principles (ICFR)IT Control Alignment & AdvisoryAdvise IT system teams on how to: Align controls to protect financial dataStrengthen completeness and accuracy controlsImprove evidence quality for auditsEnsure alignment between: Access controls (logical security)Change management controlsInterface/data processing controlsProduce regular and ad-hoc reports for project stakeholders and leadership.Perform high quality analysis consistently.Perform other duties as needed. What You Have:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field5–8+ years experience in at least one of the following: SOX / ITGC / ITAC complianceFinancial systems (ERP, reporting systems)Data governance, data lineage, or data architectureStrong understanding of: Financial reporting processes (GL, subledger integrations)IT control frameworks (SOX / ICFR)What You’re Good At:Technical & Domain ExpertiseFinancial data lineage and traceability conceptsUnderstanding of: Source-to-report (S2R) data flowsInterface controls and data transformationsWorking knowledge of: ERP systems (SAP preferred)Data models and data dictionariesGovernance & Control KnowledgeStrong understanding of: SOX ITGCs and IT Application Controls (ITACs)COSO Internal Control FrameworkAbility to translate: Audit requirements Technical system expectationsRequires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
