General Maintenance Person

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile General Maintenance Person to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance. Perform repairs on electrical equipment using schematics and technical manuals; troubleshoot issues with tools such as ohmmeters. Operate welding equipment safely for structural repairs and fabrication tasks. Maintain facility infrastructure by performing plumbing system repairs and commercial touch-up painting as needed. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies. Lead or support team members in completing complex tasks while demonstrating strong leadership skills and fostering a collaborative environment. Skills Extensive mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting and repairing diverse systems. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams. Skilled in refrigeration system repair, plumbing maintenance, welding techniques, and commercial painting. Familiarity with CMMS software for effective maintenance management. Strong supervisory or leadership experience in facilities or restaurant environments. Excellent customer service skills to address internal requests professionally and efficiently. Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately; use tools such as ohmmeters for diagnostics. Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work, welding, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance.
