As the Technical Estimator, your responsibilities will include: Prepare estimates by utilizing blueprints, specifications, and related documentsDetermine accuracy and completeness of information providedMaintain information in a structured and organized mannerIdentify labor, material, and time requirementsPresent prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive informationMaintain accurate estimating tools and update as neededMaintain cost database by entering and backing up dataContinually update technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publicationsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed for meeting and/or exceeding goals and strategiesJOB REQUIREMENTS AND STANDARDS: Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and word processing programsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specificationsAbility to coordinate and work independentlyKnowledge of CAD software and/or other engineering softwareAbility to meet critical timelines for responsesAbility to communicate professionally and technically with Client ContactsAssociate's (A.A.) Degree or two-year college or technical school2+ Years of experienceORAny combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.Many tasks include their own work and/or the review of work of others in the department.
