Automotive Service Advisor

Job Summary Automotive Service Advisor position at AAA Club Alliance located at 9400 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22031. The role involves coordinating vehicle service needs, guiding customers through the repair process, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers, answer telephone calls and schedule appointments in a prompt and courteous manner. Review repairs and services with customers to ensure a complete understanding of the services performed. Contact customer any time there is a deviation from the original estimate of cost or time. Note the name and time of approval for all repair/service orders and any additional costs. Distribute work to all shop technicians while monitoring progress and accuracy of each job. Supply information on request to technicians, as needed. Arrange for repairs and payment for vehicles that are covered by extended warranty programs. Arrange towing and/or alternate transportation such as shuttle or rental vehicle when necessary in accordance with Total Repair Care (TRC) standards. Monitor inspection dates of vehicles in system to ensure the inspections are completed before due dates. Notify customer of need to have vehicle serviced per manufacturer’s recommended intervals and as required by the state. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred, or three years relevant experience in a fast‑paced environment with a proven sales and customer satisfaction record. Knowledge of automotive technology and the ability to communicate it to the support team, customers and auto technicians. ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Service Advisor Certification is a plus, but not required. Valid driver’s license. Ability to complete required pre‑employment screenings (background check and drug screening) if offered the position. Authorized to work in the USA. Compensation & Benefits Base hourly pay $20.97 to $24.70, plus an uncapped monthly performance bonus and various spiffs and contests throughout the year. Medical insurance with prescription coverage.
