Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery

SpineSearch is working with a well-established neurosurgery practice in Fort Worth, TX looking for a qualified Physician Assistant to be an integral part of our practice. This position is primarily responsible for assisting the supervising physician in surgery but will also provide patient care in a clinic setting. No call or weekend coverage is requdanaired. • Acts as First Assist in surgery at various facilities.

• Performs history and physical examinations, formulates care plans, orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families.

• Documents clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner.

• Works collaboratively with other health professionals to determine the health needs of the patient and their families. Demonstrates and role models an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.

• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations. Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned.
  

Licensing and Certification Requirements :

• Graduate of an accredited school and nurse practitioner/physician assistant program.

• Current TX nursing/physician assistant license

• Current DEA certificate in Texas.

• Certification as nurse practitioner/physician assistant by an approved certifying organization.

• Nurse Practitioners are also required to have successfully completed an RNFA program.
