Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef— Joon | Tysons Corner, VA

Joon is one of the most recognized restaurants in the DMV — Washingtonian Best Restaurant in Virginia, NYT Top 50, and a 2026 RAMMY finalist for Upscale Casual Restaurant of the Year. We cook elevated modern Middle Eastern food in a high-energy, hospitality-first environment, and we're looking for a Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef who wants to be part of something that matters.

The Role

You'll run the kitchen alongside our culinary team — owning day-to-day execution, managing and scheduling a talented crew of line and prep cooks, maintaining food/labor cost and quality standards, and helping us continue to push the food forward. You'll also hold the keys on sanitation compliance and equipment preventive maintenance, keeping the kitchen safe, clean, and running at full capacity. This is a hands-on leadership seat, not a desk job.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of BOH leadership experience in an upscale or fine casual kitchen
• Strong on the line and stronger off it — you can cook and you can manage
• Sharp on food cost, ordering, inventory, and staff scheduling
• Hands-on experience with inventory and scheduling platforms — MarginEdge and 7shifts experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of sanitation standards and equipment maintenance protocols
• A team-builder who leads by example, not by ego
• Stability matters — we want someone here to grow

What We Offer

• $75,000–$85,000, based on experience
