Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage with students, families, and school staff to assess the mental health needs of assigned clients and facilitate appropriate care.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with students, their families, and other local providers to ensure comprehensive care.

• Provide a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including brief crisis interventions, counseling sessions, and psychoeducation.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies, ensuring alignment with overall care objectives.

• Conduct screenings and assessments, record client progress, and adjust care plans as required to promote positive treatment outcomes.

• Document all interactions and maintain records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Advocate for students’ mental health needs within various administrative frameworks, liaising with families and external resources when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on students who exhibit symptoms of major mental illness or severe emotional disruptions. As an LCSW, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes children from various socioeconomic backgrounds and cultural traditions. Your ability to approach each student's unique situation with empathy and understanding will be critical for building trust and facilitating effective treatment outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field.

• Active LCSW certification in the state of New Jersey is required.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

• Comprehensive understanding of mental health issues, particularly as they relate to youth, along with best practices in therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working within a school setting is highly desirable, preferably with previous exposure to educational environments addressing social and emotional learning. Familiarity with using child-centered therapeutic approaches and tools will also be beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
