Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication and learning as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. Starting July 27th, 2026 and running through May 28th, 2027, this position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours each week in a collaborative educational setting near Strasburg.

Ideal candidates hold an active VA SLP license and have demonstrated expertise in educational environments. The assignment prioritizes engaging students at various levels of need, working within a team of dedicated educational professionals.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences
• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA
• Valid Virginia SLP License (required)
• Prior experience in school-based or pediatric SLP roles preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
• Familiarity with IEP process and collaborative consultation

What You’ll Do

• Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct screenings and evaluations to monitor student progress
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations regarding student support strategies
