Assistant Controller (Big 4)

Assistant Controller (Big 4 Experience Required) We are partnering with a large, multi-location organization to identify an Assistant Controller to join their corporate accounting team. This is a newly created, high-visibility role reporting directly to the Corporate Controller and working closely with senior leadership. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with current or prior Big 4 experience who is looking to transition into a hands‑on role with strong mentorship and long‑term growth potential. Key Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP Analyze account balances, investigate variances, and ensure integrity of financial data Serve as a key liaison for external auditors, including coordination of audit requests and preparation of supporting documentation Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of internal controls and accounting policies Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including fixed assets and related schedules Partner cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders to support reporting and operational needs Contribute to process improvements and special projects as the organization continues to grow Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Current or prior Big 4 accounting experience required 6–10 years of progressive accounting and audit experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience working directly with external auditors Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment What This Role Offers Direct exposure to Corporate Controller and senior leadership Clear path for growth into more senior accounting leadership roles Opportunity to be part of a growing, acquisition‑driven platform Hands‑on ownership of key accounting and reporting functions Collaborative, team‑oriented environment with strong mentorship Compensation Base salary range of $130,000–$150,000 , plus profit sharing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
