Step into a meaningful role shaping young minds as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant educational environment located near Chester, PA. This full-time contract position serves elementary and middle school students during the 2026-2027 academic year, with five openings available: four at elementary level and one at middle school. You'll work onsite, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027.

Responsibilities include designing and delivering instruction aligned to current state and district standards, using formative assessments to inform and differentiate your teaching. Your expertise will ensure mastery of subject matter, support for students’ diverse needs, and strong behavioral and classroom management. The role requires active collaboration, an engaging teaching approach, and commitment to helping each student succeed.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Active state certification/licensure suited to caseload
• Bachelor’s degree (at minimum, to qualify for emergency permit)
• Demonstrable experience in a school setting, preferably within an urban community
• Mastery of special education instructional strategies and classroom management
• Experience crafting lesson plans aligned to standards
• Ability to complete all required PA clearances
• Reliable onsite attendance between 8:30AM and 4:00PM; schedule accommodations are not available
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with district protocols
• Reliable transportation
