Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students’ success in a school-based setting near vibrant Brookfield, WI! This full-time, contract role offers the rewarding chance to provide maternity leave coverage starting in February and continuing through the remainder of the academic year. You'll play a key part in fostering communication development as you serve a pediatric caseload within a collaborative educational team. Both Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates and those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply, and travelers are welcome.
Your expertise will truly make a difference as you help students unlock their greatest potential during this meaningful assignment.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active Wisconsin SLP license required
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CF credentials accepted
- Experience with school-based or pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with assessment, treatment planning, and IEP processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and collaborate with educators and families
- Reliable, organized, and flexible attitude
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students as part of their educational programming
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEPs
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatments as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Foster a positive, supportive learning environment
