This person will also split their time assembling and installing vehicle components and subassemblies, ensuring they meet high-quality and safety standards. Assembly varies depending on the type of vehicle being assembled (prototype vs production). Your work will directly support our mission to provide world-class solutions while maintaining the highest standards of service.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Complete pickup and deliveries of Pratt Miller components to suppliersAssemble vehicle components and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work orders, and process instructionsEnsure that each vehicle meets Pratt Miller’s quality standardsPerform detailed inspections to verify the accuracy and functionality of each assemblyWork with a close-knit team of engineers, designers, fabricators, and mechanics to meet departmental goals and deadlines efficientlyMaintain detailed documentation of progress, ensuring work is clearly tracked and any issues are promptly addressedMaintain a clean and organized work environmentEnsure work environment and processes adhere to outlined safety regulationsUse provided personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordCDL (Commercial Driver’s License)Minimum 5 yrs experience in delivery driving and/or shipping & receiving preferredBasic computer skills for data entry and shipment trackingAbility to read & interpret engineering drawings and process instructionsStrong mechanical aptitudeProficiency with common hand tools and equipmentAbility to work independently as well as collaborate with a multidisciplinary teamExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing world-class productsDependable & punctual, with reliable mode of transportationAbility to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentAbility to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periodsFlexibility to work overtime, including weekends if necessary to meet deadlines.Work hours: Day Shift, 8 AM start, Mon-Fri, 40hr work week (overtime as required)EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED equivalent requiredValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordCDL (Commercial Driver’s License)DESIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:Previous experience in delivery driving and/or shipping & receiving preferredPrior experience in low volume, prototype level vehicle assembly or related manufacturing environmentsPrior vehicle repair, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experienceBasic metalworking/fabrication skillsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office)Knowledge of vehicle-related pneumatic and/or cooling systemsKnowledge of HV electrical vehicle systemsPrior experience in an ISO 9001 quality environmentOshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
