Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home treatment sessions or facilitate group therapy sessions with children and adolescents in an outpatient clinic setting.

• Utilize evidence-based strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior and physical aggression, by implementing effective anger management, coping skills, and social skills training.

• Work collaboratively with family members and caregivers to enhance decision-making skills regarding in-home behavioral challenges, fostering a supportive and constructive family environment.

• Engage with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each child and family.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established guidelines.

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and propose interventions to improve treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on children aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our therapists are expected to build trusting relationships with these young clients and their families, guiding them through tailored therapeutic modalities that foster growth and healing. Your expertise will play a crucial role in providing the support necessary to empower caregivers and improve the overall well-being of these children.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Oregon is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, particularly from 4-7 pm, with flexibility for weekend appointments.

• A valid driver's license and a registered vehicle to travel to client locations as needed.

• Completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to employment.

Preferred Experience\n
