Position Overview Full-Time | $34.52/Hour | Health Benefits Package Family Place Visitation Center The Salvation Army- Syracuse Area Services The Logistics Coordinator is a supervisory position responsible for the coordination of transportation services at the Family Place Visitation Center. They also facilitate visitation across the entire visitation services collaborative for children in foster care and kinship placements. This position supervises a team of five Transporters, ensuring safe and timely transportation of children. The Logistics Coordinator oversees daily transportation operations, coordinates transportation schedules, maintains visitation room assignments, and ensures services are delivered in accordance with mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures of the program and agency. Medical, Dental & Vision Plans for Family & Employee Only Marriage Benefit: 5 paid days off for those planning to get married Eligibility for supplemental insurance plans, including Short & Long Term Disability Flexible Spending Accounts Daycare Services: On-site daycare with employee discount Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the Transportation Team Create staff schedules, approve timesheets and use of PTO in UKG Maintain credentialing in CPR and as a Child Passenger Safety Technician Conduct staff meetings and supervisory sessions with the transport team Ensure that Transporters follow safety guidelines, policies, and procedures Assign additional driving and building maintenance tasks to transporters as needed Complete performance evaluations for Transporters according to agency timelines Follow agency leadership and supervisory practices Ensure vehicles are properly and routinely maintained for client and staff use Oversee building, grounds, and vehicle maintenance and submit necessary requests, work orders, and purchase orders Track vehicle maintenance logs including lease expiration dates and car seat expirations Participate in supervision sessions with Evidence Based Clinical Supervisor Attend program staff meetings and provide car seat training to visitation and clinical staff as needed Act as a back-up transporter when staff shortages impact program and transportation coverage Complete other duties or tasks assigned by the Evidence Based Clinical Supervisor, including demographic data entry and client satisfaction surveys Demonstrate cultural competence and integrate understanding into daily responsibilities and support strategic plan objectives Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Three to five years of related experience in Human Services (e.g., Social Worker, Case Worker, Program Manager, Coordinator, or similar role) Ability to work as a team member and manage team operations and provide culturally competent practice Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within the community across multiple facilities, homes, agencies, schools, etc. Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and regular access to private transportation Position requires successful completion of Background Screening & Drug Screen Equal Opportunity Employer The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to providing a respectful environment for all applicants and employees that is free from unlawful discrimination or harassment based on age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, disability, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
